CIPE Solidifies Partnerships for the Sahel Initiative through Memoranda of Understanding with the Executive Secretariat of the G5 Sahel, the Coordination of National Youth Councils of the G5 Sahel, and the G5 Sahel Women’s Platform
The Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE) has strengthened its collaboration with the Secrétariat Exécutif du G5 Sahel (Executive Secretariat of the G5 Sahel) through the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on September 20, 2020. The two organizations have a strong, ongoing partnership promoting economic inclusion and public-private dialogue in the Sahel, and this agreement solidifies their historic working relationship.
Because of the importance CIPE places on the inclusion of women and youth, specific MoUs were also signed with the Coordination des Conseils Nationaux des Jeunes du G5 Sahel (Coordination of National Youth Councils of the G5 Sahel) on October 13, 2020 and the Plateforme des Femmes du G5 Sahel (G5 Sahel Women’s Platform) on November 20, 2020. These two agreements show support for these organizations in participating fully and effectively in policy dialogue and economic advocacy at both the national and regional level.
Through the signing of these MoUs, the regional coalition formed under the Sahel Initiative continues to grow and become more representative and committed to community engagement.
