CIPE Africa Associations Contest

(Submissions due April 23) 

In honor of March’s worldwide observances to honor women, CIPE is announcing a new competition for African associations to showcase current best practices and upcoming innovations on the topic of women’s economic empowerment. We invite you to share your stories, resources, and ideas on the following topics:

  • Expanding women’s business leadership opportunities in Associations

  • Conducting surveys and other research projects on key social and economic hurdles faced by women and women-led businesses

  • Hosting roundtables to shed light on problems and conceive solutions related to social and economic hurdles for women and women-led businesses

  • Providing trainings to member businesses to address social and economic hurdles for women

  • Spearheading public education initiatives on broad gender-based issues with an impact on the workplace (such as gender-based violence)

  • Hosting public events to promote the accomplishments of and provide networking opportunities for successful women-led businesses and organizations

We invite associations to send us an email at africa@cipe.org with “Africa Association Competition” in the subject line. Please provide us with a description of your activities and any outcomes achieved. The competition will close on April 23.  

An independent panel will evaluate the submissions and reward up to 5 honorariums in the amount of $1,000 USD to the African associations with the most innovative ideas. Winners will be highlighted in future issues of this newsletter, as well as in other promotional activities that will be distributed through CIPE channels to thousands of donors, association executives, and private sector companies.
